In agricultural equipment, Black Bruin motors are used
as part of the main
propel system or in various assisting functions, such as on
demand drive for trailers.
Power and torque
Black Bruin motors provide a high ripple free torque
from close to zero speed. The motor design allows high efficiency from start to
maximum speeds.
Speed on the road
Implementing the 4-speed Black Bruin motors into the
propel system a much wider speed range can be achieved when comparing to
conventional LSHT -motors. A four wheel driven 4-speed Black Bruin equipped
machine is capable up to 70 km/h transport speed. The unique mechanical
freewheeling with integral valve system permits the shift from neutral to
operation and back while the machine is moving. No external feed or force is
required to keep the Black Bruin running in neutral - this not only simplifies
the circuit but most of all increases safety.
Compactness allows good clearance
The rotating house design of a Black Bruin motor
allows easy installation into the driven wheel or drum, protecting not only the
hydraulic components, but also what ever they might be hitting during the operation.
With the freedom of design in hydrostatics, e.g. the turning angle of the wheel
can be designed as unlimited.
High load carrying capacity
The rotating house design allows long distance between
the two tapered roller bearings thus giving a very wide range for the maximum
load capacity. This same construction detail allows large wheels to be used
with Black Bruin hydraulic motors.
